Additionally, your application for benefits will include Medicare if you are almost 65. If you do not want your retirement benefits to start, but you are almost 65, then you can simply apply online for Medicare.
  • Disability Benefits – Online applications are also available for disability benefits if you are 18 or older.

To apply for disability benefits, you will need the following:

  • DOB
  • Place of birth
  • Date you became unable to work due to injuries or illnesses
